Systems Engineer / DevOps

Overview

My client, one of the biggest gaming group, is looking for experienced Systems Administrator (DevOps) to work as a part of a cross-functional Agile team, providing expert systems administration and operations insight to teammates while enabling the delivery of new features at pace. 

As part of an agile team that is responsible for highly-available systems, you will coach teammates on operations best practices and help forge a DevOps ethos within team.

This permanent role is based in South Dublin offering competitive salary.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience in Systems Administration (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Centralised configuration management (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
  • Web/App container administration (e.g. Apache, Tomcat, IIS etc)
  • Web Presence (DNS, CDN, Domains and SSL management)
  • Systems security and OS hardening
  • Solid understanding of Networking technology and principles

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of Load Balancing (e.g. Netscaler) an advantage
  • Experience of Log Analysis tools (e.g. ELK, Splunk etc) an advantage
  • Experience of Cloud infrastructure an advantage
  • Experience of Active Directory an advantage
  • Experience of Continuous Delivery an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate upon the building and support of high-performance systems
  • Innovate Continuous Delivery pipelines
  • Innovate Production monitoring capabilities
  • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers to safeguard production SLAs
  • Contribute a System Engineering perspective to design decisions
  • Contribute to ‘out of hours’ support alongside teammates
  • Collaborate upon the automation of everything
