Overview

The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure in our diverse environment. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within our infrastructure. This individual will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and procedures.

 

What is Expected of You:

  • Implement, administer and support an environment which includes VMware, Microsoft, Linux, Mac and Office 365 plus various third-party applications integrated with this stack.
  • Responsible for hardware and software, inventories, upgrades, monitoring, backup, troubleshooting
  • Responsible for the deployment of security updates and centralized management functions
  • Architect and implement solutions which maximize system availability and performance via clustering and fault-tolerance.
  • Systems auditing implementation and controls

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Technology with three (3) years system administration experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently but also within a team.
  • Advanced knowledge and administrative experience with Microsoft and

Microsoft certification

  • Microsoft and Linux desktop and server operating systems
  • Active Directory administration
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Office 365 (Outlook, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune, MDM)
  • Knowledge of network technology, especially IP routing, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, remote administration and performance monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of laptop, desktop, server and SAN hardware including CPU, memory, storage and network
  • Strong documentation experience with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • VMware Virtual Infrastructure Administration experience
  • Linux and macOS admin skills a distinct advantage
