Our client is an ambitious Irish company operating on the market since 1960 with offices in the main cities of Ireland. The company is a supplier of the best electrical brands in the market and they provide a wide selection of products.

This role requires an energetic and driven individual who is looking to seeking growth in their career and would like to put their stamp on a business with a view to taking on a very Senior Role within the organisation. The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for managing the on-time delivery of products from suppliers and will fill a key position in the area of Purchasing and Stock Management.

 

The Role:

In order to be successful in this role you will have an excellent work ethic and be capable of working well alone or equally within a team. You will handle and interpret data, flourish in a busy environment and have an energetic approach to tasks. It is essential that you have previous experience working within a supply chain role. You will have an excellent understanding of Excel and ERP systems knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Ordering stock from suppliers
  • Reporting on supply chain, coordinating with suppliers
  • Controlling stock levels
  • Serving as the key point of contact to resolve Purchase Order and Goods Inwards issues
  • Taking responsibility for cost control element of deliveries inwards and outwards
  • Managing product maintenance on ERP system, e.g. adding new products, processing price-list updates, etc

 

The Person:

  • 4 years’ Senior Supply Chain experience
  • Proven knowledge & understanding of the Irish Market
  • IT literate including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets in Excel, Word & PowerPoint programmes at an advanced level
  • 3rd level qualification desirable
  • Experience in working with Asia based suppliers
  • Must have a high-level knowledge/experience in working with ERP based systems
  • Ability to operate using your own initiative in a flexible & dynamic organisation - be able to thrive in a challenging environment

 

Location:  Our client is based in North Dublin close to M50.
