Candidate Overview ? Suitable Candidates will be highly professional, self-motivated and have excellent communication and problem solving skills ? Applicants would ideally possess an Enterprise Architecture qualification – TOGAF or Zachmann. ? Applicants should possess a demonstrable track record as a Solution Architect working with a variety of stakeholders including solution providers, infrastructure providers, business and IT.  Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on the design of end to end solutions involving external vendor applications, internal enterprise applications and internal backend systems. Candidates will be enthusiastic and driven and have the ability to work closely with key business stakeholders and IT Teams to deliver an integrated solution. Candidates must have a proven track record of reviewing RFP responses from IT Vendors providing assessment papers. ? The Solution Architect will have experience of working in a team-orientated and collaborative environment.
The Role ? The Solution Architect will be accountable for reviewing proposed solutions from IT Vendors and documenting assessment papers.
? The Solution Architect will ensure there is clarity on the design options and associated implications. They will proactively identify and capitalise upon opportunities to share / re-use existing components/solutions where possible.
? The Solution Architect will work closely with  Technology and Strategy to ensure the solution design fits with existing or planned architecture. They will ensure solutions are designed in alignment with appropriate best practice, standards and methodologies. ? The Solution Architect will need to assess / design the end to end solution adhering to Group & Risk Technology & Data principles and standards. The Solution Architect will need to present solutions to the Architecture Review board for approval.
? The Solution Architect will support the application development and infrastructure teams to plan the sequence and content of application component releases.
? The Solution Architect will oversee and sign-off the design of agreed business or technology changes associated with the end to end solution to ensure quality and consistency.
? The Solution Architect will provide expertise in technical assessments and will be required to complete Technical analysis to assist in design decisions.
? The Solution Architect will work with Business & Technology to provide design guidelines, impart knowledge on technical trends and solutions and provide support and guidance to resources during the analysis, development and testing processes
