Senior Software Engineer (Java & PL/SQL) – Insurance / Financial Services – Dublin City Centre.

A leading provider of Insurance in Ireland is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer. This role would be suitable for someone who has experience of Java/ J2EE and PL/SQL development.

My client in the insurance / financial services sector is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer (Java & PL/SQL) to join their team based in Dublin City Centre.

Their software engineering team is made up of really nice, smart people, who are very down to earth and passionate about what they do.


What can I expect in this job?

You will be part of an agile team and you will be responsible for gathering requirements, analysing requirements and providing solutions. In this job, you will be working closely with clients and communicating regularly with offshore teams.  


What do I need to bring?

Ideally you will bring at least 3 years’ experience Java/ J2EE development.

1-2 years PL/SQL experience.

You will be an excellent communicator who can engage well with clients and offshore teams.

Experience with UNIX and shell programming would be preferred.

A degree in Computer Science or a related proficiency is preferred

Fluent English is essential for this job.


What can I earn?

A competitive salary up to €60,000 depending on experience for this job. You will also receive an attractive benefits package to include bonus, pension and healthcare.
