Our client is an innovative software company that develops a cloud-based analytics solution for e-commerce merchants in Ireland and UK.

As Senior Business Development Executive, you will report directly to the Head of New Business Development, and be responsible for researching, identifying, targeting, nurturing and closing new Mid-Market opportunities across Ireland and UK, in a role that combines inside and field sales.


Job Description
The Job:

  • Research and identifying new business opportunities, working with leads provided and building your own pipeline.
  • Identify, manage and win new opportunities, building and maintaining pipeline in line with targets established.
  • Developing trusted relationships with customers, working with other managers and team members to increase sales opportunities and maximise revenue for the organisation.
  • Support and coach other members of the team and act as deputy for Head of New Business Development as required.

Our client is looking for a positive, driven and persuasive individual with excellent influencing skills. Must be able to clearly identify goals and evaluate opportunities, communicate vision and deliver results.

Role is a combination of inside and field sales with focus on new business development opportunities (hunter), so successful candidate will have experience and be comfortable in these areas. The ideal candidate will have experience of sales travel to customer sites, conferences or trade shows, while still maintaining effective contact with the office-based team.

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role (New Business Development)
  • Experience in Inside Sales (phone / video conference)
  • Experience in Field Sales (experience in journey planning and sales administration
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. Master’s Degree will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in e-commerce space is an advantage
  • Excellent commercial skills around contract negotiations and closing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and client relationship management skills
  • Availability to travel within Ireland & UK on regular basis
  • Full clean valid Irish drivers licence and own car

The Salary: Up to €40k base + OTE (€25k)
