Senior Javascript Developer

Overview

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for developing new components of an interactive web application

Participate in the design of our new software platform

Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality

Produce reasonable estimates for tasks and meeting project schedules

Suggest enhancements to existing components that contributes to product goals

Deploy and provide support to the latest releases of software

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of industry experience developing interactive web applications

Strong Web UI development skills including HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON: Experience dealing with the complexities of building, maintaining and testing Javascript-heavy single page web applications, including with one or more of the modern MVC JavaScript frameworks (such as React, Angular or Backbone)

You have worked efficiently in large JavaScript codebases and know how to keep your code modular and loosely coupled.

Third level degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent

Source control using Mercurial, Git, or Subversion or equivalent

Experience of software product development for a software product or SaaS (Software as a Service) company is required.

Experience working in a Linux environment

Fluency in the English language is required

Advantageous but not required:

Experience of modern JS toolchains such as Webpack, Grunt, Bower or Yeoman; modular javascript code that can be used with ES6 Modules or Require.js

Experience with SQL

Knowledge of Unit Testing / Test Automation (e.g. Jasmine/qUnit/Sinon, Selenium).

Experience developing analytics dashboards with charts, etc.
