Role Description

Our client is commercial flooring distributor who provides architects, interior designers and flooring contractors with a wide range of flooring products.

Due to huge success in the previous years the company is currently looking for a Sales Operations Manager. This will become a critical role in the business and one which requires a strong driven individual and leadership skills.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage sales operations and support the sales team throughout the sales process, work on process improvement and to collaborate closely with the other internal teams. This is a full-time opportunity with people management responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales administrators, sales operations function and act as a central point of contact for the sales reps and customers
  • You will be responsible for the correct pricing of products. The individual will help stream line this process, thereby enabling the sales team to increase customer interactions
  • Co-ordinate the on-going sales activities for the sales team and work closely with internal teams (warehouse) assisting in the sales process
  • Work closely with a managing director to improve and maintain sales efficiency and other processes and procedures
  • In addition, the job will require developing and maintaining Intact ERP software
  • Be involved in other responsibilities, including Social Media
  • This is a challenging role where initiative is applauded

Skills

  • 5 years of experience in Sales operations related role, with 2+ years leadership experience
  • Ability to put processes and procedures in place. Previous experience in a corporate environment would be an advantage
  • Customer centric approach with ability to solve problems quickly. The successful candidate will relish the challenge of seeing a problem through to the end and be confident in dealing with multiple suppliers, clients and team members and showing direction to other colleagues
  • Excellent people skills, team leader and player -friendly and sociable, ability to work well with others
  • The candidate should be eager to make the role their own and drive for efficiencies
  • Being organised with an exceptional attention to detail and follow up are essential skills
  • You do not need industry specific experience although it would be of benefit
