My client has currently has vacancies for Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts to report into the Senior QA Lead within the Information Management Technology Division (IMTD) on contracts of indefinite duration.

Working as a QA Analyst gives you; the opportunity to work within varying SDLC methodologies requiring a range of QA and testing activities, aided by automation and testing tools to perform Functional and Non-Functional Testing on diverse projects, such as;

-Data Analytics projects

-Pan European data collection, analysis and exchange projects

-Operational & IT Supports (HR, Finance, Communications, Infrastructure, Security etc.)

Reporting to the Senior QA Lead and forming part of the QA System Integration Test (SIT) Team, the QA Analyst is responsible for the design and execution of test plans in order to validate applications delivered as part of the large portfolio of change. They work closely with the Project team to enable the delivery of quality solutions through collaborating with the necessary technical and business stakeholders both internal and external. 

The new Quality Assurance joiners will have the opportunity to be part of the foundations of the internal QA Team. This can take the form of constructively challenging to bring efficiency through innovation, new testing techniques, automation, new tools and technical skills application.


Test Case Management:

Analyse complex requirements and review acceptance criteria to ensure they are for fit for purpose, testable.

Create comprehensive and well defined test scripts that are traceable back to requirements.

Execution of functional, regression and system integration test scripts.

Develop and execute technical tests where required with the aid of automation, test tools and SQL statements.

Ensure regression testing is performed in a manner that recognises the risks of introducing defects.

Project QA Analysis and Reporting:

Lead/participate in defect triage discussions and challenge constructively.

Contribute to management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.

Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to ensure resolution

QA General:

Co-ordination of test activities and work as part of a project team

Work closely with the Development and Business Analyst teams in the pursuit of a quality solution delivery.

Full understanding of SDLC Methodologies and where the QA Analyst role fits in.

Act as a quality champion and take responsibility for ensuring quality is integrated into all facets of the SDLC.


3 years’ + experience in a software quality assurance.

ISEB/ISTQB in Software Testing

Diploma/Degree in Information Systems or IT subject or relevant industry qualifications.

Quality Assurance backgrounds in: Financial Industry, Regulatory Returns, Reporting languages Xml/ Xbrl, Calculation & Validation Engines, Business Intelligence and Analytics are desired.

Key Competencies required should include but are not limited to:

Robust Quality Assurance & Testing Knowledge.

Strong Analytical thinking.

Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to apply test efficiencies such as asset reuse, automation etc.
