Overview
We are on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager that will be responsible for the planning, co-coordinating and managing a number of business change and IT projects for large Insurance company in Dublin.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project planning and governance, co-coordinating internal and external resources across different countries and business units
- Ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered on time through careful and detailed work stream management.
- Plan, control and execute a project or set of related projects to meet identified business needs and deliver business value, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, timescales and quality
- Provide overall project leadership for all projects of different sizes and complexity, providing a view of schedule, issues & risks, and current project status.
- Facilitation of client workshops to present and validate and achieve stakeholder consensus on business approaches, requirements or plans
- Manage day-to-day relationship with internal and external stakeholders and resolution of all issues
- Own and manage communication and governance with stakeholders
- Maintain and communicate project status to all stakeholders in reports and status meetings
- Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned projects

- Willingness to be ‘hands-on’ when required
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage varying types and sizes of project

- Ability and willingness to travel within Europe to execute responsibilities as necessary
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including proven ability to establish and run effective Steering Committees. Effective negotiation skills
- Experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, preferably in a cross-border business environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience of managing both business change and IT delivery projects
- Experience of ‘on-boarding’ or business take-on projects involving outsourced service providers an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of working in the insurance sector, preferably in a cross-border business environment, would be beneficial
- A recognized project management qualification/membership would be advantageous but not essential
- Background in consulting is an advantage but not a requirement for the role
- European language skills (particularly Spanish or German) would be advantageous but not essential
