Level 2 Support Technician (2 years-Cork)

Overview

We are looking for a Help-desk Level 2 Support Engineer to work with our client based in Cork for two years contract, full time.

Please find below some of the requirements for the role:

  • Over 2 years’ experience in a similar role 

  • Comfortable with ownership of problem analysis 

  • Customer focused and friendly

  • A proven track record in training and facilitating all staff both senior and junior to better equip safefood colleagues in performing their ICT tasks

Some of the technical skills they are looking:

  • Taking and logging all desktop support calls, fault resolution both hardware and software, to include Provision of remote access.

  • Set up new equipment such as laptops, PC’s, printers and other peripheral devices.

  • Carry out audit of all software installed on safefood equipment and liaise with Manager Responsible for IT to ensure license compliance.

You mush have, withing some of the requirements:

  • Must have experience in working with Multi-National firms and/or Government Departments in a similar capacity.

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on-time and within budget.

  • Ability to write up functional specifications and RFQ’s (Request for Quotations).

  • Ability to deal with Third party suppliers and process tenders.
