Lead Business Analyst

Our client which is one of Irelands leading energy providers is looking for a Technical Lead to work across multiple workstreams including ETRM, Power Ops & Settlements, Data & Reporting and Modelling Tools.

Key responsabilities:

 

  • Manage the process and delivery of the Business Analysts work across each workstream to:
  • o Work closely with the Owner to produce a Business Requirements document and update accordingly throughout project life cycle
  • o Engage with other business & technical stakeholders to elicit, capture, analyse and document business requirements to define the project scope
  • o Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, capture, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements, to fully realise the project scope
  • o Translate requirements into use cases and activity flow diagrams
  • o Coordinate review and sign-off of requirements and use case documentation as per agreed project schedule
  • o Create requirements traceability Matrix (RTM) and maintain throughout project life cycle
  • o Update RTM to reflect requirements mapping to design and test documentation
  • o Review & sign off System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test documentation created by Test teams, when necessary
  • o Review project change requests and manage updates to requirements, use case documentation, and requirements traceability Matrix as per change control process throughout project life cycle
  • o Ensure all deliverables are delivered in accordance with project schedule and gating target dates, adhering to quality standards
  • o Provide support to project managers, architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders throughout project life cycle
  • o Report progress of business analyst activities with timely escalation of issues to the Project Managers
  • o Persistent engagement with business stakeholders to ensure full understanding and clarity of all business requirements
  • o Persistent engagement with technical stakeholders and vendors to ensure full understanding, feasibility and clarity of all technical requirements and deliverables

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years' experience of similar roles elsewhere (preferable in Energy Trading environment);
  • Enthusiastic self starter with a proactive approach to problem solving and systems development;
  • Experience in managing the workload and deliverables of multiple Business Analysts or BAs across multiple workstreams
  • Strong ability to work to project deadlines and project plans;
  • Excellent understanding of industry-standard methodologies, tools and environments;
  • Excellent standard of fluency in written and verbal English
  • Experience of working within a fast paced and complex project environment
  • Proven ability to deconstruct and express complex information in clear and unambiguous documentation
  • Degree in a computing or information systems discipline or equivalent
