Job Description:

 

We are looking for a passionate Junior Digital Content Curator to research, plan, write and edit web content for a leading Media company. The successful candidate will have a background in Journalism, be a skilled writer and researcher, with an eye for detail and an understanding of the special requirements of web writing.

You will be responsible for creating, curating and publishing creative web content, liaising with different internal teams to plan and decide on content. Other responsibilities would include proofreading and editing material, researching and checking content for accuracy and ensuring it is up-to-date, with a focus on quality.

As Junior Digital Content Editor, you will be compliant with copyright and industry regulations, monitor website’s traffic to measure and optimise content performance, and keep track of developments in web technology.

Education & Experience:

 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication or related field.

 

1-2 years of previous experience creating and editing journalistic content is required, as well as hands on experience with MS Office, Word Press or other content management systems. Knowledge of SEO, web traffic and Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

 

You will have excellent writing skills in English, excellent communication skills and ability to interact and build relationships with different people at all levels within the organisation.

 

It’s a very fast, open plan, busy section, so we’re looking for a team player, someone creative, with initiative, who can think on their feet.

 

 

Other Details:

 

This is a 2-year fixed-term contract role with an hourly rate.

 

Due to the nature of the role, the website team works in shifts covering 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm, including weekends.

 

The interview process will be task/trial based.
