IT Incident and Change Manager

Overview

Our client, a leading company in their sector based in Dublin City Centre is looking for an IT Incident and Change Manager. This is a permanent role where you will be the central point of contact within the company for all major incident handling, scheduled production changes and code releases.

Your key responsibilities as an Incident Manager will be to take full ownership of all incidents. To coordinate & oversee resources necessary to restore full service, or implement workaround as quickly as possible. To own & manage communication of incident to affected stakeholders, ensuring customers impacted are communicated to in a timely manner with clear & succinct details of incident / time to resolution / workarounds applicable. 

As a Change Manager you will be the central point of contact for all teams in relation to scheduling and notification of changes and releases to production and staging environments. You will have to ensure that changes are recorded and evaluated, and that authorized changes are prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented and reviewed in a controlled manner.

What experience do you need to have?

3 -4 years’ experience in a similar role. Formal experience in taking ownership and governance of Change and Release policies and procedures in accordance with ITIL best practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
