Our client is seeking a General Manager to join the team to help evolve a growing business. This is a newly created position that reports to the Founding Managing Director and will drive the strategy, operations, reporting and best practice for the business.

The Candidate

  • Experience in generating commercial plans that deliver predictable growth in sales and margins
  • Previous experience in taking a traditional materials supply business and leading through a transformation process
  • Experience managing commercial, financial, operational and technical teams of at least 25 people and associated budgets
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and how to extract, manipulate and present data
  • Experience in delivering business efficiencies, change and transformation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels – including commercial customers, suppliers and staff
  • Innovative thinker and experience in effective process and/or systems development
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean philosophies and techniques would be an advantage
  • 3rd level qualification in Business, Engineering, Management, or other relevant discipline would be an advantage.
