Financial Controller - 12 Month Maternity Cover - North County Dublin

The Role:

An opportunity has arisen for 12 Month Contract for a Financial Controller to join the finance team to support the day to day operations. Reporting to the CFO, this role will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of the financial reporting for the Group and supporting the senior management team in delivery of performance improvements across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring timely delivery of finance pack and presentation of same to the Board
  • Overall Divisional responsibility for all aspects of the finance function
  • Ensure effective Treasury Management at all times
  • Overall responsibility for integrity and timeliness of financial and management reporting
  • Ensure compliance with formal financial reporting requirements and relationships with financial institutions
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation and reporting to the company
  • Oversee financial records of the business and prepare financial records for independent audit
  • Mentor and manage the members of the finance team
  • Management of professional relationships in all jurisdictions – audit, tax and legal where appropriate
  • In conjunction with external advisers manage Group tax and legal compliance in Ireland and in overseas jurisdictions in which the Group operates

          

Candidate Profile:

  • The candidate will be a qualified accountant with ideally 10+ years post-qualified experience with strong people management experience
  • Professional Accounting Designation (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong track record in consulting with senior business leaders and managers
  • Comfortable dealing with overseas tax and legal jurisdictions where the Group operates
  • Outstanding internal and external communication skills
  • Be willing and able to “roll up sleeves” and apply them self to any task
  • Leads and motivates people
  • Strong team ethic
