Financial Accountant – Recently Qualified (Belfast City Centre)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our client’s expanding centralised accounting team. Reporting to the Finance Director this is ideal opportunity to join an innovative global business.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the month, quarter and year-end close

• Preparation of journal entries

• Preparation of account reconciliations and analysis

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly reporting packs

• Analysis of quarterly review packages and fluctuations

• Contribution to monthly review meetings

• Ensuring all accounting processes including general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations and revenue recognition are in compliance with GAAP and IFRS.

• Assisting with external audits

• Assist the finance team in continual development and recommendation of process improvements.

• Undertaking other responsibilities / activities of a similar nature on an ad hoc basis

The Ideal Person:

The successful candidate will ideally be a newly/recently qualified accountant, keen to make their first move into Industry. You will have a strong technical background with robust financial accounting experience as well as financial systems experience, specifically ERP.
