Front End Manager – Contract
This newly expanded role within the digital team reflects the scale of growth being sought from our core business through our digital channels. To be digital pioneers we need to deliver great experiences, which bring our brand and products to life, and make it easy for the customer to buy or interact with us.
eir require a Front End Manger to lead on all aspects of front end development. This will require working across multiple projects within the group. Projects will involve development in the latest of technologies and where applicable/suitable you can choose the tool or frameworks best suited for the projects.
The Front End Manager will be responsible for:
Lead on front end technical aspects of projects
Provide innovative solutions and accurate time estimations on project delivery
Liaising with numerous projects to ensure that standards are being adhered to and the solutions designed fit into the overall eir Front end Architecture.
Responsible for ensuring front end developers create reliable, maintainable and efficient code.
Responsible for liaising with development teams, designers and UX teams (both internal and vendor) on all aspects of front end development to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Implement new processes and tools as required to aid efficient delivery by the development team and guide on the best practice design & build approaches.
The successful candidate will have:
6+ yrs experience working in commercial software development.
Ability to lead on the front end technical aspect of projects, using best practises to deliver high performing web applications and websites within tight deadlines.
Experience with Angular and/or other Js frameworks
Experience creating Responsive websites
Familiarity working with Content Management Systems, preferably opencms
Knowledge of accessibility standards for websites and web applications
Knowledge of iOS and Android development (an advantage)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
