Our Client

Our client is a telecommunications company which provides both international calling & money transfer solutions.

The company has over 90 products selling in over 10 countries globally with international market presence spanning across France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Spain and the UK with plans for continued growth throughout mainland Europe.

The company has its headquarters in London, with an international presence in Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain and Hong Kong.

The role

Our client is now seeking a CFO to manage the Finance function across the group of companies to report to the Shareholders and work with the business heads to manage the financial operations across the group.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Preparing the budgets and financial reports.
  • Maintaining systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organisation.
  • Ensuring timely data is provided to the Shareholders to enable them to make decisions on the business strategy.
  • Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors  
  • Providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
  • Responsibility for all accounting procedures and systems used by the Company.
  • Keeping the Board of Directors up to date on Financial Performance.
  • Financial planning across the group based on the forecasts and actual results.
  • Working with the Shareholders to assess the long term financial trends and review prospects for future growth of income and new product areas.
  • Assisting the Shareholders in identifying new opportunities, putting together the prospective proposals and forecasts.  

Candidate profile

  • A qualified Accountant CIMA, ACA or ACCA with the proven ability to build and lead teams to success.
  • Understanding of working for a growing, entrepreneurial organisation
  • Experience of corporate governance at a senior level
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience of working in a multi Foreign Currencies environment
  • Previous Telecoms experience desirable
