Position Title: Business Analyst

Location: Dublin City Centre, Ireland

Job Summary

Business Analyst required for a permanent position in Dublin city centre. The suitable candidate will work within our “Design & Delivery” function that delivers services to our clients through software project implementations via web and mobile applications through desktop, tablet and mobile. This team also interacts with our other functions for software engineering, platforms and support teams.

The suitable candidate will need to be a team player, self-motivated and keen to learn new technological advances, excellent communication skills, both written and oral, excellent customer engagement skills, the ability to problem solve, the ability to work on more than 1 project at a time and see tasks through to their resolution.

The ability to engage with customers, understand and document requirements and define the functional and technical solution in conjunction with  Solution Architects will be the key day to day activities. Ongoing liaising with the development and QA resources during implementation will also be part of the day to day role.

This opportunity should allow the successful candidate to expand their technical knowledge and expose them to various industry sectors and clients. It will provide a challenging work environment, within an organisation that respects and depends on its employees.


  • Engaging with customers during project analyse phases to understand and document functional requirements;
  • Working with other team members (Solution Architects, etc) to analyse system functions and review functional and technical specifications;
  • Learning how to break down development of business functions into development tasks;
  • The use of SDLC tools such as JIRA & SharePoint to capture requirements for the cross functional teams;
  • Support the development teams during implementation to clarify requirements and to help successfully deliver quality application;
  • Supporting testers to successfully complete System Test and release of quality applications to customer User Acceptance Test (UAT);
  • Planning with development team colleagues on Production release and co-ordination with Project Managers;

· Liaise with team members and team leaders to successfully deliver projects;

  • Ensure high standards of customer engagement and services are maintained;
  • Expected to complete work-related training and learning with the goal of obtaining relevant certifications (e.g. British Computer Society Business Analysis, etc);

  • Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated;

1-2 years experience in business analysis in a

Required education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • OR Diploma in computer science or related discipline

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Microsoft Visio or equivalent
  • Generate of Mock-ups
  • HTML / CSS
  • SQL (T-SQL or Oracle syntax concepts)
  • Azure / Cloud concepts Knowledge
  • JIRA
  • Some knowledge of software engineering
