The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business or related discipline
  • 1-3 years’ industry related experience within the financial services sector
  • Experience with capital markets data and/ or market data vendors
  • Experience with data transmission, storage, and distribution
  • Working knowledge of SQL or another programming language
  • Understanding the characteristics of reference data and pricing is a distinct advantage

The Purpose of Your Role

The Security Master and Pricing department is responsible for providing accurate and timely reference and pricing data to all down-stream systems and lines of business across trading, operations, and regulatory obligations including customer confirmations and statements.

As an Associate Analyst, you will perform critical functions to support daily operations, including the validation and amendment of reference and market data supplied to Fidelity by its industry data vendors.  You will also help our team to identify, analyse and resolve data issues; and to answer queries from internal and external customers.  Quality, accuracy and timeliness are critical to the success of this function.

  • The relationships that you establish with our US business partners and data vendors will help ensure adherence to Operations policies and procedures, and will enhance the reputation of the Security Master & Pricing team in Ireland
  • Act as a consultant for operational support and non-standard requests
  • Identify data issues, perform root cause analysis and resolve to improve data quality in a timely manner.
  • Conduct data quality campaigns and vendor challenges to ensure that all internal and vendor data is in sync
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc tasks, along with associated research, as it relates to data quality assurance
  • Maintain operational and written supervisory procedures in accordance with divisional standards
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Technology
  • Propose process enhancements for the efficient, accurate and timely completion of all activities including: data loading, quality checks, and reporting
  • Assist with the definition and execution of test plans for system enhancements
  • Provide business validation support for scheduled core and maintenance activities on the platform
