Application Support - Fixed term role - Salary based

Overview

We are looking for an Application Support Developer who will be responsible for providing 2nd line support across applications used by the business and also for the design and development of software solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

Support Production Applications

Supports incident management process

Responsible for maintaining application documentation.

Develops software:

Performs software requirements analysis

Develop & document physical design

Works with System Architect to ensure design meets engineering requirements

Participates in 'proof of concept' (design, construct)

Provides Leadership:

Leads and mentors large groups and ensure team adheres to standards or adjusts standards as appropriate.

Determines work assignments in conjunction with PM and helps resolve technical problems

Provides I.S. Division leadership

 

Provides consultation:

System architecture, technical platform and infrastructure design

Provides knowledge of existing applications and identify development risks.

Provides input re alternative designs and estimates complexity.

Provide Application monitoring and tuning:

Performance, Availability, Reliability, Security, assists technical specialist in network tuning and Assists technical specialist in database tuning

Participates in project planning:

Identifies tasks and task dependencies.

Required skills:

Experience in a similar IT environment

Excellent understanding of IT methods/processes and practices, SDLC, SIS (Technology Services)

Good understanding of IT Financial Practices

Degree level qualification or equivalent experience/CIPD qualified preferred
