My client who is a Worldwide Financial Technology Company is looking to hire an Application Support Engineer to join their team in Dublin.

What can I expect in this job?

As part of the Options Market Making Team you will be responsible for providing Application Support to multiple trading applications. You will be working alongside traders, developers and other colleagues across the technical operations area of the company. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting application issues, configuration management of the trading systems, management of multiple projects, you will also be expected to contribute ideas towards procedure improvements

What do I need to bring?

An IT related Degree

Experience on Linux/Unix platform is essential

Ideally 3+ years’ experience is required.

Experience with Perl or Python

Experience with SQL, Shell scripting would be advantageous

Ability to work independently, efficiently to resolve issues in high pressured environment

Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational & presentation skills
