Application Support Engineer


We are looking for an Application Support Engineer for my client an established online gaming market leader based in Dublin City Center.

Same details about the role:

You will be join an experienced team that provides monitoring, management and support for an established online gaming market leader, operating internationally with high volume transactional Exchange/Broker and Tote betting platforms.

Your main Responsibilities are:

  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated from service desk
  • Monitor and support MS SQL Systems and .NET Applications
  • Environment management
  • Deploying and upgrading applications
  • Creation and maintenance of processes documentation

And is Required that you have Skills & Technology Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Application Support/DBA/Production Support/System Support Engineer roles
  • Windows Server 2008/2012 R2/2016 familiarity
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 / TSQL scripting experience
  • IIS 7.5/8.5 familiarity
  • Working knowledge of .NET including Web Services
  • Logical troubleshooting and debugging methodology
  • Strong communication and personal skills
  • Self-motivation is considered a key attribute of the ideal candidate, with scope for initiating and bringing technology and process improvements to fruition

And is even better if you have:

  • Degree in Technology/Software related discipline
  • General understanding of Networking
  • Windows Server Clustering
  • F5 BIGIP Load balancers
  • MSMQ working knowledge
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • PowerShell/VBScript/Basic Unix Commands
