The Company

Our client uses algorithm to monitor and analyse agricultural processes and are looking for an Accounting Assistant who will be working closely and reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely production of management accounts on a monthly basis and contributing to a detailed understanding of the performance of the business.

 

The Role

 

As an Accounting Assistant you will undertake a variety of tasks and will be responsible for processing accounting data and other ad hoc accounts responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant include:

 

  • Preparation of month and year-end files for review by Financial Controller
  • Recording purchase invoices and receipts daily
  • Dealing with auditors
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysing and investigating variances
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Tax planning work
  • Other ad-hoc projects and duties as required

 

The Experience

 

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified Accountant
  • Great teammate with strong communication and social skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and dynamic – ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets in a time-conscious manner
  • Good IT skills, particularly Excel
  • Practical and common-sense approach to problem solving, and the ability to demonstrate creative solutions
